She Her Her Hers

She Her Her Hers in London: Between Sound and Neon, Into a Dreamlike Night
23 September 2026 · The Garage, London
Tokyo-based alternative band She Her Her Hers, consisting of Hiroyasu Takahashi (vocals/guitar), Tomasong (synthesiser), and Taiki Matsuura (drums), have developed a distinctive sound that draws from shoegaze, dream pop, and psychedelic electronics, creating an immersive world of hazy textures, emotional resonance, and cinematic atmosphere.
In September 2026, the band embarked on their largest overseas tour to date, spanning five countries and thirteen cities across the UK and Europe. On September 23, they returned to London with a five-piece lineup, taking the stage at The Garage to a packed room.
The show began with “Pulse” setting the atmosphere as Takahashi, Tomasong, and Matsuura gradually appeared onstage alongside violinist Moemi Harada and guitarist Shogo Ishizaki. The opening notes of “Law of Attraction” immediately brought a sense of nostalgia, before “Bloody Mary Girl” loosened the room further, pulling the audience deeper into the band's hazy orbit. Some listeners stood quietly, absorbed in the performance, while others moved freely with the rhythm. The crowd included Asian fans alongside audiences from a range of other backgrounds, reflecting the band's increasingly international reach.
“Diagram X” shifted into a colder, sharper feel, while “Imaginary line” felt like mist slowly clearing, with light breaking through. “non zero sum game” brought a more pronounced danceable energy, as a kaleidoscope of colours moved across the stage. The shifting lights evoked the neon glow of a city at night, making the visual dimension of the performance inseparable from the music itself.
She Her Her Hers were back.
Tomasong thanked everyone who had come to see them in London both this year and last, warmly inviting the crowd to drink, dance, and enjoy the night together. “Blue Moon Night” followed, evoking the atmosphere of a late-night bar. “drip” gradually introduced a sense of tension, while “SPIRAL” pulled the energy further inward, its restraint carrying a restless intensity underneath. By the time “s” arrived, the room had grown noticeably quieter, an intimate moment of turning inward and facing oneself. The shift from danceable energy to introspection created a different kind of stillness within an otherwise packed venue.
The band then spoke about the long stretches of travel that had come with the European tour. They had been taking turns behind the wheel, joking that everyone's driving skills had improved along the way and laughing that they had become something of a “truck-driver band.” After the long journeys between cities, they were finally back in London, recalling last year's show at Oslo Hackney and expressing their happiness at returning to the city, this time to The Garage.
“Tomorrow’s Sun” followed like a slow walk towards the future. Its measured pace allowed the introspective mood to gradually expand outward. “Pre-logue” brought the dancing energy back into the room, while “Day Tripper” pushed the set further into psychedelic territory. When “Episode 33” arrived, its expansive, dreamlike sound gradually filled the venue.
The five-piece arrangement revealed another dimension of the band's sound. Guitar, synthesiser, and drums layered into a dense, immersive sound field, while the violin moved through the arrangement without demanding attention, adding another subtle layer of colour and texture. The lighting shifted with the music, moving from cold, shadowy tones towards something increasingly expansive, giving the set a distinctly cinematic sense of progression.
After some interaction with the crowd, the band introduced each member. The European tour also happened to coincide with Takahashi's birthday, adding another memorable moment to a journey already defined by long hours on the road and constant movement between cities.
“CHELSEA” opened up the final stretch of the set, gradually releasing the tension that had accumulated throughout the night. “Brutalist” brought a cold, electric intensity, while “Thirsty” continued to build a sense of desire and longing to the limit.
Then came “Bystanders,” bringing the night's sound, lighting, and emotional tension into a single final surge. Its rhythm kept the crowd moving even as a deep blue melancholy settled underneath, creating an uncanny, almost otherworldly atmosphere. As the song reached its closing moments, the music and lighting pushed together towards the emotional peak of the night.
There was no encore. Yet the audience did not leave immediately. A long queue formed at the merchandise table, while the band themselves came out to sign merchandise and greet fans. The distance between the stage and the crowd seemed to disappear.
From Tokyo, across Asia, and now into Europe, She Her Her Hers make music that speaks across language barriers. The haze of shoegaze, the weightlessness of dream pop, the coolness of electronic textures, and the ever-changing colours of the stage lights came together to create a sonic space entirely their own.
Between sound and neon, She Her Her Hers left their mark on another night in London.

第三張專輯《The Best of the Worst of Times》實體黑膠啟動預購 首批加贈神秘單曲七吋小黑膠收藏
